Product Introduction
1. Primarily used in the manufacture of n-butyl ester plasticizers of phthalic acid, aliphatic dibasic acids, and phosphoric acid, which are widely used in various plastics and rubber products. It is also a raw material for the production of butyraldehyde, butyric acid, butylamine, and butyl lactate in organic synthesis. It is also a dehydrating agent, anti-emulsifier, and extractant for oils, pharmaceuticals (such as antibiotics, hormones, and vitamins), and fragrances, and an additive for alkyd resin coatings. It can also be used as a solvent for organic dyes and printing inks, and a dewaxing agent. It can also be used as a solvent for separating potassium perchlorate from sodium perchlorate, and sodium chloride from lithium chloride. It can be used to wash sodium uranylzinc acetate precipitates. It is used in the molybdate method for the colorimetric determination of arsenic acid. It can also be used to determine fat in milk. It is a medium for saponified esters. It is used to prepare paraffin embedding materials for microscopic analysis. It can be used as a solvent for fats, waxes, resins, shellac, and gums. It can also be used as a cosolvent for nitrocellulose spray paints. 2. It is a standard substance for chromatographic analysis. It can be used in the colorimetric determination of arsenic acid and as a solvent for the separation of potassium, sodium, lithium, and chlorate. 3. It is an important solvent, used extensively in the production of urea-formaldehyde resins, cellulose resins, alkyd resins, and coatings. It can also be used as a commonly used inactive diluent in adhesives. It is also an important chemical raw material, used in the production of plasticizers such as dibutyl phthalate, aliphatic dibasic acid esters, and phosphate esters. It is also used as a dehydrating agent, anti-emulsifier, and extractant for oils, fragrances, antibiotics, hormones, vitamins, etc., an additive for alkyd resin coatings, and a cosolvent for nitrocellulose spray lacquers. 4. A cosmetic solvent. Primarily used as a cosolvent in cosmetics such as nail polish, it complements primary solvents such as ethyl acetate, aiding in the dissolution of pigments and regulating the solvent's evaporation rate and viscosity. The typical addition level is approximately 10%. 5. It can be used as a defoaming agent in screen printing inks. 6. It is used in baked goods, puddings, and candies.
