Product Introduction
1. This product is primarily used as a solvent for oils, nitrocellulose, synthetic resins, alcohol-soluble dyes, and ethyl cellulose; in the coatings industry, it is used as a varnish quick-drying agent and coating thinner; in the printing and dyeing industry, it is used as a penetrant and leveling agent; in the fuel industry, it is used as an additive; in the textile industry, it is used as a dyeing auxiliary; and it can also serve as an intermediate in organic synthesis. Diethylene glycol monomethyl ether is primarily used as a high-boiling-point solvent for inks, dyes, resins, cellulose, and coatings. Adding it to coatings improves flow, brushing, and leveling. It can also be used as a hydrocarbon extractant, an intermediate in the preparation of ester derivatives in the organic synthesis industry, and a chemical reagent in analytical chemistry. Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether can be used in brake fluids, among other applications.
2. It is used as a solvent for alcohol-soluble dyes, inks, cortisone, and other chemicals; as a pesticide dispersant; as a leather treatment agent; and as a plasticizer.
3. Widely used as a solvent and diluent for coatings such as nitrocellulose lacquer, varnish, and enamel; an inactive diluent for adhesives; a solvent for various oils and fats, lignin, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, alcohol-soluble dyes, inks, and synthetic resins; as a dispersant for pesticides, leather treatment agents, plasticizers, brighteners, and organic synthesis intermediates.
4. Ethylene glycol monomethyl ether is also an antimicrobial additive and is used as a reagent and solvent for the determination of iron, sulfate, and carbon disulfide.
