Product Introduction
Dibenzoyl peroxide is the most widely used initiator for polymerization reactions. It is primarily used as an initiator and crosslinker in solvent polymerization of PVC, polyacrylonitrile, acrylates, and vinyl acetate; graft polymerization of chloroprene rubber and SBS with methyl methacrylate; curing of unsaturated polyester resins; and adhesives for organic glass. In the rubber industry, it is used as a vulcanizing agent and crosslinking agent for silicone rubber and fluororubber. It is also used as a bleaching agent and oxidizing agent in chemical production. Dibenzoyl peroxide has a whitening effect on wheat flour. On February 11, 2011, my country's Ministry of Health and six other ministries issued a notice prohibiting the addition of benzoyl peroxide and calcium peroxide to flour production, effective May 1, 2011. Food additive manufacturers are also prohibited from producing or selling calcium peroxide and benzoyl peroxide as food additives.
