Product Introduction
1. Dimethylformamide is a good solvent for a variety of polymers, such as polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide. It is used in the wet spinning of synthetic fibers such as polyacrylonitrile and in the synthesis of polyurethanes; in the production of plastic films; and as a paint stripper. It can also dissolve certain low-solubility pigments, imparting dye properties to them. Dimethylformamide is used in the extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as in the separation and recovery of butadiene from C4 fractions and isoprene from C5 fractions. It is also an effective reagent for separating non-hydrocarbon components from paraffin waxes.
2. It has excellent solubility selectivity for isophthalic acid and terephthalic acid: isophthalic acid is more soluble in dimethylformamide than terephthalic acid. Solvent extraction or partial crystallization in dimethylformamide can separate the two. In the petrochemical industry, dimethylformamide is used as a gas absorbent for gas separation and purification.
3. In organic reactions, dimethylformamide is not only widely used as a solvent but also an important intermediate in organic synthesis. It can be used in the pesticide industry to produce chlordimeform.
4. It is used as a reagent for non-aqueous titrations, a solvent for vinyl resins and acetylene, in organic synthesis, photometric determinations, and as a stationary phase for gas chromatography (maximum operating temperature 50°C, solvent: methanol). It can also be used for separation and analysis of C2-C5 hydrocarbons, including n-butylene, isobutylene, and cis-butylene, trans-butylene. It can also be used for pesticide residue analysis, organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, and the photographic industry.
5. It is an excellent solvent and chemical raw material with a wide range of applications. It is an excellent solvent for a variety of polymers, including polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide. It can be used in wet spinning of synthetic fibers such as polyacrylonitrile; in the synthesis of polyurethane; as a paint stripper; for the selective absorption of acetylene and the separation and purification of butadiene; as a solvent in the production of artificial leather; in pesticides, for the synthesis of insecticides; and in the pharmaceutical industry, for the synthesis of iodine pyrimidine, doxycycline, cortisone, vitamin B6, iodine glycoside, cypermethrin, pyrantel, N-formyl sarcolytic, antitumor amino acids, methoxy-aromethenol, benzyl mustard, cyclohexane, furofluanid, tranexamic acid, benzyl alcohol, megestrol acetate, cholinesterase, chlorpheniramine, and others.
6. It is used as a solvent and organic modifier in liquid chromatography, an extractant and developing solvent for thin-layer chromatography, a solvent for vinyl resins and acetylene, and a solvent for non-aqueous solvent titration. It is also used in organic synthesis.
7. It is primarily used as an industrial solvent. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used in the production of chlordimeform and hormones, and is also used in the manufacture of chlordimeform.
